Let's celebrate linguistic diversity!
On 26 September 2006, the European Day of Languages will once again be
held in Europe and elsewhere to celebrate linguistic diversity and promote
language learning. Launched by the Council of Europe (45 member states -
www.coe.int) during the European Year of Languages 2001, the EDL
has since built up a momentum and thousands of activities were organised
throughout Europe to mark the Day.
